In Agust 2024, we took on the job of installing an air source heat pump for Mr Fricker in Loughton. He had recently purchased this property with his wife and decided they wanted to make it their forever home. Mr Fricker and his wife settled on a new heating system as the first change to their home. Following all the MCS guidelines we carried out in-depth heat loss calculations and sized a heat pump and cylinder to suit the property.

The Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kw paired with the 200L Packaged Cylinder was our choice. As part of the install we had to fully re-plumb the property due to older stainless steel pipework, which then allowed us to put in some new double panel radiators, and a sleek designer one too! The cylinder was located in the downstairs utility room, which left only a short pipe run to the heat pump at the back of the property. All pipework was insulated and ran in specialised trunking designed for heat pumps.

After we commissioned the heating and DHW system, we handed over the complete system to Mr Fricker alongside the MCS certificate. Him and his wiife were left in a warmer, more efficient home – leaving them stress-free over the winter period.
